The Bikuben Foundation seeks to create opportunities for professional artists and to help them to realise their full potential. To further this goal, we established the Development Platform for the Performing Arts in 2016 together with the Danish Arts Foundation. The platform functions as a self-governing institution that provides artistic and professional development and training opportunities for independent performing artists and performing-arts companies. It does this primarily through knowledge-sharing, upskilling, events, networking and by providing facilities for artistic development.

In addition to mentoring and counselling courses, the Development Platform for the Performing Arts frequently holds seminars, webinars and workshops. The platform also offers on-line resources for administration, financial-management, outreach and planning foreign and domestic tours. All resources are available for free for self-producing performing artists and producers.
